ChatGPT to the rescue! If you missed it, my last Soup Break explored how AI can be used for finding recipes, making tweaks to them, and using ingredients that you already had on hand. Super handy for when you need some quick inspiration.
An important part of using ChatGPT is giving credit to the actual creators, so after I prompted the AI to find me recipes, I went back in and checked out the sources it had used. It came back with this recipe by John Kanell, which can be found on his website Preppy Kitchen.
Soup Process & Notes
- Easy and customizable
- Compared to Soup #4, this soup was far more user friendly and closer to where my culinary skills are (currently) at.
- I felt I could pull some audibles on this recipe and that it would still come out excellent!
- For example, both my Fiancee and myself are not big cilantro or sour cream people so we were happy to subtract those ingredients from the recipe and still really enjoy it.
- Dynamic soup and dip?
- I had this soup with some tortilla chips and it was phenomenal!
- It was thick enough to dip chips (or bread) into it, yet still liquidy enough to consume as soup
- Best leftovers
- Eating the leftovers the following day, it was one of the first soups I made that ended up being BETTER the second day after letting the flavours mix together.
- This is something to think about for me as I dive further into cooking.
- Also a great reminder that cooking takes TIME.
Check it out! I even tried plating this time around 🙂
