Our week 2 class saw us explore educational open resources, which was something I did not have a lot of experience with before this lecture. One of the websites that stood out to me as being the most useful as a teacher was OER Commons. I really liked that this website offered an potentially endless supply of idea generation, as well as some handy lessons already crafted well to the BC curriculum.

Another resource I saw immediate value in was Unsplash! As someone who has had experience in content creation and how much work goes into creating the perfect picture, this site will become my best friend in no time. My first exploration into the website led me to some inspiration for my inquiry project on soup. I found this lovely photo and, while I might not be able to recreate the perfect aesthetic this picture holds, it is certainly inspiring:

A fantastic photo! Of course, to ensure that I follow copyright laws, I have credited the owner of the picture and where I found this lovely photo.

As I continue through this semester and into my teaching career, I will look forward to using these two great open resources.
