Hey we made it in one piece!

This was my first time creating a website with WordPress and I found it fairly straightforward. If I did feel like I was straying away from the path, I found Michael’s blog on Creating a Blog on the OpenETC super helpful! I am looking forward to adding more substance to this website throughout the remainder of the semester.

I’m looking forward to this course and want to take full advantage of it. I see the value in being strong with tech relating to education, and I find it fun to play around with assignments like this one. Looking at the course outline, the lectures that stand out to me as potentially being the most interesting are Week 7: An EdCamp Experience, Week 10: AI in Education, and Week 11: Technology and Outdoor Education. The EdCamp Experience was something that I felt I had heard of, but I didn’t think I had participated in before. So I looked it up and found this youtube video:

It instantly seems like a neat idea and one I’m keen to participate in. I hope the topics we discuss are as relevant to teaching as the ones in the video.

There’s a chance I dive down the rabbit hole of Word Press and spend far too much time on here. But we’ll just have to wait and see on that one.
